(This is NOT one of the postwar M-34 style helmets that have DN19140 stamped in the back!)
These helmets were used after the war by firefighters and others but later, this style of helmet was reproduced again for fire fighting use. The postwar M-34 helmets look identical to a WWII style except they have a "DN19140" stamped in the rear. Also the liners usually are different in the postwar M-34s. Between the years 1934 and 1945, M-34 helmets were made by several makers and came in several different styles but this is the only style that was produced after the war.
